Real Ales

Established in 2006Brentwood Brewery moved into one of the barns here at Calcott Hall in 2013 and have grown and grown. They have a wide range of ales to cover any occasion, or no occasion  - if it takes your fancy! On some mornings you may smell them brewing.

We also have beers from Crouch Vale Brewery which are very popular, and Mighty Oak Brewery. They brew real bottle conditioned ales, ranging from a golden ale to a chilli porter. Very interesting! Last but not least we have Adnams Brewery supplying Southwold bitter and other ales.

Saxbys Cider

Each autumn, they press every single apple in every single bottle of Saxby’s Cider right there on the family farm in Northamptonshire. So, just like good wine, their cider reflects the unique character of the season in which it was created. Mellow, fruitful and gorgeous to behold.

Their craft ciders are made to traditional recipes using modern methods and techniques but without artificial ingredients, colourings or flavourings. They’re naturally gluten-free and vegan and vegetarian friendly. And of course, they’re delicious.

We also stock the Aspalls range of ciders  brewed in Suffolk. They have varieties to cover all cider drinker's tastes. The Peronelles blush (cider with blackberry liqueur) is especially good!

Wines

We use a local wine merchant Lion Wines to supply hand-picked ranges of wine for the shop to complement our range of English wine, from New Hall Vineyards in Chelmsford.

Petfood

Whatever the appetite of your feathered friend we have the seeds and nuts to satisfy them. From smaller bags for the occasional pecker to the amazing value of our 15kg or 20kg bags,Amaizing fat balls and suet feasts, there is something to suit every bird enthusiast’s needs.

We have the very popular Forthglade dog food in the petfood area, along with all sorts of treats for them, including pigs ears, hide chews and training treats. We also sell a selection of food for cats, guinea pigs and hamsters.

Cards

For any occasion we have the perfect greetings card. We have many different ranges for you to choose from including the ever popular Alex Clark range, Noel Tatt, Bernie Parker and Cherry Orchard to name just a few. Something for every taste we’re sure.

Logs and Fuels

To help you heat your homes we stock a range of logs and coal, including hard and soft kiln dried logs. We also have a range of charcoal from the Green Olive Wood Company
